Motorcycle Reviews Suzuki Katana
I remember the first time I saw a number Katana. I lived away from Pinewood Studios in England at the time and thought it was abroad for a machine to appear in a James Bond.
I could not decide whether loved or hated, which was radically different from looking at other bikes at that time.
Does is that when Suzuki led mantle of "best" Superbike their GSX1100E. It was actually the first Japanese motorcycle combination of power, (it was the fastest to 140 km / h 11.5 Standing quarter of a second) manipulation.
Over seventy everything that was in the size and engine power as well as Japanese manufacturers have been concerned, instead of any round of capacity. The GSX1100E combined what was then a huge engine to manipulate the real world, and 100 c. voluntary limit loosely place among manufacturers of bicycles of the time, Suzuki has decided to consider in the design.
The fact is that, although dominated Superbike GSX1100E niche still seen as almost any bike out there. In fact, the solid square lighthouse is often considered unpleasant. The complete package of engine, chassis and the style was rather innocuous.
Suzuki was the engine, now wanted the style and stay ahead of the competition, or, failing to distinguish.
In fact, they hired a design company called Target, owned by a man named Jan Fellstrom, based in Germany. They had done a lot of design work BMW car and were later unleashed a radical new design for Suzuki.
Katana is a samurai sword Japanese word, and was designed to resemble nothing more. Only available in matte silver trim of your trailer, the Katana was absolutely revolutionary aspect.
The Katana has come with different engine options, but it was the GSX1100S, a race whose approval specially produced only 3,000 actually received the most attention.
The Katana was not a big seller – the way extremely divisive issue and frame, suspension and engine were nothing new, but Suzuki has been the beginning of a reputation for innovation, and kept up issues in Superbike.
